The Durafit System provides all these requirements by using one key
element - Durafit Underlay.

A high quality heavy duty crumb rubber underlay that helps create a
dimensionally stable cushioned sub floor onto which the carpet is installed.


How Durafit Works:

Easy release Tackifier Adhesive is spread onto the subfloor giving enough
suitable grab to keep the Durafit underlay in place.

Durafit Underlay is then laid directly on to the tackifier and glided to provide
a smooth finish.

Permanent bond adhesive is then spread over the Durafit underlay now ready
for the fitter to lay the carpet.



Why Durafit Works:

The Tackifier adhesive effectively holds the underlay in situ. It also provides
what is known in the trade as 'easy release' allowing the installation to be
taken up easily and at minimal cost when compared to direct stick.

Durafit Underlay is manufactured from recycled car tyres. Fact is that car
tyres are made from only the finest rubber compounds - built to last and
provide a smooth comfortable ride. These properties are transformed into
an underlay that provides superb underfoot comfort whilst remaining remarkably
stable.

The carpet is permanently bonded to the underlay - no rucking - no ripples -
no movement - no unsightly seams splitting. Simply the perfect finish.

Durafit is the only way to install carpets where wheel chairs, or wheeled
trolleys are used.
