Designer gives the fitter the ability to precisely install a floating carpet to
underlay floor using any combination of field and border to achieve a perfect
and individual result. The underlay has a relatively plain, high dimensional
stability backing, which allows the installer to plan out the entire installation
on the floor before cutting a single piece of carpet. The design is simply
marked out with a felt tipped pen. The fitter can then cut the pieces of field
and border to size, checking that they match the plan as he goes along.
The underlay backing provides a continual reference point for the fitting plan
and a double check that the right piece goes in the right place. It is then a far
simpler job to stick the pieces of the 'jigsaw' together for a perfect result.
Although Designer has a firmer rubber compound than the average underlay,
it has been constructed to provide significantly improved walking comfort,
bring luxury to a border installation.
